Hearth Software wants everyone to be able to use our website and our apps, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or screen magnification. We treat accessibility as part of building software that respects the people who use it.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities. hearth-software.com is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. "Substantially conformant" means the site meets the large majority of the standard, although some content may not yet fully conform. We are working to reach and maintain full conformance.

What we have done

• Text and interface colors meet the WCAG AA contrast minimums.
• Every interactive element shows a clearly visible keyboard focus indicator.
• The site can be operated with a keyboard alone, including the screenshot gallery and dialogs.
• A "Skip to content" link lets keyboard and screen-reader users bypass the navigation.
• Images have text alternatives, and purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
• Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and semantic HTML so assistive technology can navigate them.
• Each page declares its language. The site is available in English and German, with more languages in progress.
• The site honors your operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
• Links inside text are underlined, so they are not identified by color alone.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain:

• Links to the Microsoft Store and other third-party websites lead to pages we do not control and cannot guarantee for accessibility.
• We are still verifying a small number of criteria, such as text reflow at very small window sizes, and we welcome reports.
